Loving Victoriously
Our chapel theme this month is Loving Victoriously. The Kindergarten and Grade 7 and 8 classes were in charge of chapel and worked together to weave this theme together with Easter. What a beautiful chapel it was!
This video was shown at the opening of chapel:
The Kindergarten students sang some songs for us with much enthusiasm and joy!
Kindergarten students waving palm branches to Jesus' triumphal entry!

The grade 7 and 8 students gave various perspectives of what the characters in the Easter story might have seen, heard and been thinking.
Another thought provoking clip gave a new perspective to think about:

We meet and worship each month in cross-graded GIFT groups (Growing In Faith Together). The group remains the same for the entire year so that we can grow in fellowship and knowledge together.
What a privilege we have to worship in the place where we learn!Living Victoriously!

Spring Auction 2012
The day began with a tool sale. There were many customers checking out all the tools generously donated by Thorold Lumber . What a great start with $3500 raised. Thank you, Thorold Lumber!
Louie VanderBerg, from Royal LePage again hosted a food drive. For every pound of food brought, a draw ticket was given. Louie also generously donated $1 for each pound of food. The students gathered 900 pounds and the community another 1100 pounds for a total of 2000 pounds. Louie topped off his donation to $3000. Thank you Louie!
Guests were welcomed by beautiful violin music played by Mary and Marie! Thank you!
The pre-auction area was a hub of activity.
Gorgeous plants and flowers were sold as well as some soil.
There were many items to bid on in the silent auction.
The live auction also had over 50 items to bid on.
It was a full house!
It was also a great time of socializing, catching up and meeting new people!
Then time to check out...
(all conveniently computerized!)
Many helping hands made clean up go faster.
(Thanks to the Terpstras for coming in and working late!)
Auctioneer Bob VanderHeide did a great job again! Thank you!
THANK YOU to all those who generously donated, volunteered and attended the auction.
It was a great evening of fellowship and community. We are blessed!
A total of over $32 000 was raised for Beacon Christian School.
To Him be the glory!
