Servant Working

This month our throughline is Servant Working.

Prairie Association of Christian Schools describes Servant-workers:
Being “salt and light” means our faith needs to be expressed in our work. We all can help to heal brokenness and bring joy. Sometimes this will be a response to an injustice, and sometimes it will be doing good things just for the sake of doing them. Sometimes these things will be easy for us to do and sometimes they will really push us out of our comfort zone- and both are great experiences!

We are always looking for ways to live out our faith in big ways and small, in our classrooms, hallways and into our community.

This week in our chapel, our Kindergarten students got us thinking again of ways our hands, minds and hearts can serve other.   They are leading a baby items collection this month for new moms who need some help and love.

They have asked all the students to work at some odd jobs to raise some money to buy some baby items. Things they are looking for are things like diapers, wipes, baby cereal, formula, new bottles etc.

Would you like to contribute as well? You can bring your items to school for our baby items drive.

Our Bible focus this month is from Isaiah 26:3:
I will keep my mind on You Lord:
For You will keep me in perfect peace.

And while we love seeing all of our students perform, we just love watching
our Kinders sing for us!

We then watched this video on ways to serve with glory for ourselves.
Humble serving is what God desires of us:

Where will God lead you to serve this advent season?
